I-MASK+ Prevention & Early Outpatient Treatment Protocol for COVID-19
Prayers for when you cannot receive Holy Communion
Act of Perfect Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life. Amen.
Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that Thou art really present in the Blessed Sacrament. I love Thee above all things, and I long to receive Thee into my soul. Since I cannot now receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart... [pause] I embrace Thee as one who has already come, and I unite myself entirely to Thee. Never permit me to be separated from Thee. Amen.
Another Act of Spiritual Communion
O Immaculate Queen of Heaven and Earth, Mother of God and Mediatrix of every grace: I believe that Thy dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, is truly, really, and substantially contained in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I love Him above all things and I long to receive Him into my heart. Since I cannot now receive Him sacramentally, be so good as to place Him spiritually in my soul.
O my Jesus, I embrace Thee as One who has already come, and I unite myself entirely to Thee. Never permit me to be separated from Thee. Amen.
Act of Union With the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass when you cannot assist at it
As I cannot this day enjoy the happiness of assisting at the holy Mysteries, O my God! I transport myself in spirit at the foot of Thine altar; I unite with the Church, which by the hands of the priest, offers Thee Thine adorable Son in the Holy Sacrifice; I offer myself with Him, by Him, and in His Name. I adore, I praise, and thank Thee, imploring Thy mercy, invoking Thine assistance, and presenting Thee the homage I owe Thee as my Creator, the love due to Thee as my Savior. Apply to my soul, I beseech Thee, O merciful Jesus, Thine infinite merits; apply them also to those for whom I particularly wish to pray. I desire to communicate spiritually, that Thy Blood may purify, Thy Flesh strengthen, and Thy Spirit sanctify me. May I never forget that Thou, my Divine Redeemer, hast died for me; may I die to all that is not Thee, that hereafter I may live eternally with Thee. Amen.
Prayer for Priests and Bishops and for the Return of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Priests and Bishops, intercede for our faithful Catholic clergy who have been abandoned by their leaders and peers. They are forced into the new catacombs of clandestine private Masses and desire nothing more than to bring your Son’s Holy Sacrifice back to its full public splendor for the conversion of sinners and salvation of souls. Place them under your mantle of protection so that no physical, spiritual, or mental evil may fall upon them during these dark days. Pray also, we beseech thee, for the unfaithful and cowardly clergy who follow the world, bow to pressures from its prince and deny the Faithful the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Turn their hearts so that they return, meek and humbled, with repentance to the Father as His Prodigal Sons or turn their ankles that we may recognize them by their limp. Restore to your children a lively Faith, Hope, and Charity so that, as the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass returns and churches are once again filled with this perfect prayer, we may never again stray from the path of True Religion. Amen.
Coronavirus Prayer from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
Holy Virgin of Guadalupe,
Queen of the Angels and Mother of the Americas.
We fly to you today as your beloved children.
We ask you to intercede for us with your Son,
as you did at the wedding in Cana.
Pray for us, loving Mother,
and gain for our nation and world,
and for all our families and loved ones,
the protection of your holy angels,
that we may be spared the worst of this illness.
For those already afflicted,
we ask you to obtain the grace of healing and deliverance.
Hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful,
wipe away their tears and help them to trust.
In this time of trial and testing,
teach all of us in the Church to love one another and to be patient and kind.
Help us to bring the peace of Jesus to our land and to our hearts.
We come to you with confidence,
knowing that you truly are our compassionate mother,
health of the sick and cause of our joy.
Shelter us under the mantle of your protection,
keep us in the embrace of your arms,
help us always to know the love of your Son, Jesus. Amen.

Daily and Sunday public Masses have resumed!
The following two paragraphs in red are directly from Bishop Parkes:
"It is important for the faithful to understand that the Dispensation from the Sunday obligation to attend Mass remains in effect until further notice and applies to all Catholics. Particularly, pastors should assure those who are more susceptible to infection because of age or medical condition, as well as those who are fearful of returning to public gatherings, that they should stay at home and are encouraged to do so for their own good. Priests and other liturgical ministers with the same conditions should refrain from administering Holy Communion or other activities that would put them at greater risk. No one should feel guilty for protecting their health or that of their loved ones. "
"Parishioners should be assured that if there are more people in Church than is comfortable for them, they should feel free to return home and make use of the dispensation given."
Daily and Sunday public Masses have resumed! Maximum capacity in Epiphany is 250 in the church. Extra seating in the hall and outside if necessary. Keep proper social distancing at all times except with those who live with you. On June 7 we will have an extra Mass at 1:00 to try to alleviate overcrowding at the other Masses. We will continue with the extra Mass as long as needed.
Bring your own hand sanitizer or soap and mask or scuba gear as you see a need. Don't come if you are ill or in danger/fear of getting the illness!
The church will need to be sanitized between Masses, so you are encouraged to wait in your car until we are finished doing so after the previous Mass ends. This takes approximately 15 minutes. Please do not come into the church until we let you know that we are through. That is not an issue for the 7:30 Mass, obviously, but the church will not be unlocked before 7:00 am so that sanitizing can be done before anyone enters.
Because of "social distancing" requirements, we will not be able to have the 10:30 Mass crowd gather in the social hall before Mass as they wait for the Vietnamese Mass to conclude. We have to wait until everyone leaves their pews, sanitize the pews and door handles and bathrooms with alcohol, and only then can we allow parishioners in. That will take away your Mass preparation prayer time so please do that while in your car. There will be no "coffee and donuts" after Masses at this time. Thank you for understanding.
We will only be able to allow a 50% capacity congregation, which will limit us to 250 maximum. Half of the pews are blocked off from use and, with "social distancing" between everyone who is not of your own family, we will not be able to fit that many into the church. The social hall will be used for overflow, and, although your sight will be completely blocked, you will be what is termed "morally present" at the Mass even from there. If we run out of room even using the social hall, the great outdoors holds many, many people! But it will be warm and you may wish to bring an umbrella for sun or rain. You, too, will be "morally present" at Mass even outside.
Reception of Holy Communion will be pretty much normal except that we encourage you to leave "socially distant" space between your family and others not of your family. Those in the hall or outside overflow areas will simply receive by approaching the altar rail after those inside the church have returned to their pews. At the Traditional Latin Masses, Holy Communion must be received on the tongue and with the communicant kneeling if physically possible. At the Novus Ordo Masses, Holy Communion may be received either on the tongue or in the hand. The Church Law will be followed in this regard.
Please bring with you whatever you believe helps you in your safety, such as hand sanitizer, masks, or anything else you need. Masks are not mandatory, so know that going in.
The schola will sing at the 10:30 Mass without masks. If you are uncomfortable with that, please attend the silent low Mass at 7:30 am instead. The 1:00 pm Mass will usually be a simple chanted Mass. On the first Sunday of each month that Mass will be celebrated in English as the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter Mass.
Please bring your own Missal with you as well, since there will be none available in the pews. We cannot spray the missals with disinfectant, after all!
